SENIORS

Previous Experience
All Judoka are welcome, visitors new to area or coming back to judo after a break, just turn up and join in. Training times  .If you have been off the mat for a while and would like to discuss the best training sessions to work your way back in please phone one of our coaches. Or for any other questions you may have, please contact us.

New to Judo
Phone first for more information or just turn up, and you will be made welcome. If you are new to Judo, Seniors start at 16 years of age. You need no special preparation to start learning judo. We can loan you a Judo-Gi (kit) to wear for your first lesson, but strong loose fitting and not too new clothing with no metal parts (i.e. Tracksuit Bottoms) are all you need for your first (free) lesson. Short clean finger and toe nails are a must for Judo.

JUNIOR

New to Judo
As with the seniors you can phone ahead for more information or just turn up for a session, and you will be made welcome.

If you are new to Judo, juniors range from 9 to 16 years of age. There are no special preparations to start learning judo. KANO

Kano class, for 5 to 9 year olds. This class has more Judo games and activities and a higher coach to Judoka ratio.  (For training times link to "Timetable")

Juniors = 9 years old to 16 (Some Experienced judoka opt in to seniors from 14 years old)
Kano = 5 to 9 year olds
Judoka = person practicing judo
BJA = British Judo Association
