judo player sam werrett took gold at the Seoul City Cup in South Korea on Saturday.

    The 22-year-old 2nd dan black belt fought in the men's 81 Killo category at the olpympic sports Complex which was used to host the 1988 Olypic Games.

    Werrett won his first two contests by the maximum Ippon (knockout) score and then took his semi-final by default after his opponent was disqualified for foul play.

    He claimed a gloius gold by defeating south korean Young-young choi by Wazaari in the final.

    The competition attracted more than 200 entries across the varius categories from teams representing russia.Indonesia and the United Sates army.
